Humpty Dumpty
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the king's horses and all the king's men
Couldn't put Humpty together again.
About This Rhyme
One of the most famous nursery rhymes in the English language, dating back to at least 1797. The character of Humpty Dumpty is traditionally depicted as an egg, though the rhyme itself never says so. First published in Samuel Arnold's Juvenile Amusements in 1797.
